Smart Controllers provide irrigation control based on what is happening with the current weather in your area. The correct way to water is to replace the ET (evapotranspiration - the sum of the water lost from the soil surface and water used by plants).The Rain Bird ET Manager hooks to any existing controller and decides whether watering is required based on hourly weather updates and ET calculations from our local weather station network.

Since weather conditions like temperature, humidity, solar radiation, and wind vary little from the weather station location the data is extremely accurate. The only variable from site to site is the actual rainfall amount which the ET Manager can gather using an onsite rain gauge. Weather based irrigation applies only the water needed to sustain a healthy landscape all year long. With potential water savings of 20-50% the ET Manager is a necessity for anyone who pays for water.

Most customers can make up for the price of the unit in a matter of months. We offer sales, installation, and weather data service for the ET Manager. Our weather data service is offered on an annual subscription basis for a reasonable fee. You can purchase the ET Manager from our website, however, it is recommended that a professional installs the unit so that your system can be programmed correctly.
